Wellisair reduces the presence of bacteria in the means of transport
The Korean environmental consulting company KSD has tested Wellisair's effectiveness on a Korean bus for two days in September 2020. The process consisted on taking samples on bus surfaces such as handles, seats or buttons, in the front, centre and rear of the vehicle, before and after the installation of Wellisair. Air samples were also taken and subsequently processed in the laboratory.
After comparing the samples obtained, it became clear that those samples collected after a period of 24 hours during which Wellisair remained active in urban transport while providing a normal service, the presence of bacterial microorganisms was considerably reduced.
More specifically, the samples were analysed for the presence of Pneumococcus, E-coli and Staphylococcus aureus, reducing their presence in the air by 80% and reducing the presence of Pneumococcus and Staphylococcus by almost 92% and E-coli by 73% on surfaces.
The study concludes that the purification of Wellisair degrades the pollutants due to the neutralization of odors and strong chemical reactions. Furthermore, it has a strong bactericidal antimicrobial effect on pathogenic bacteria that remain in air conditioners and indoors.
