Airtècnics is expanding the integration possibilities for its air curtains into building management systems (BMS) via Aidoo, a communication gateway that translates the Modbus protocol used by the Clever PRO controller into BACnet. This solution facilitates connection to installations that use different communication protocols for the automation and centralised management of their equipment.

Until now, Airtècnics’ air curtains could be integrated into BMS systems via Modbus. With the introduction of Aidoo, it is now also possible to connect them to building management systems that use BACnet, one of the communication protocols employed in building automation.
The gateway acts as an intermediary between the Clever PRO and the BMS, translating information and commands between the two protocols. This expands the integration options for air curtains without the need to replace the Clever PRO controller.
BMS systems enable the monitoring and management of a building’s various installations from a centralised platform. The integration of air curtains into these systems facilitates their incorporation into the building’s automation infrastructure, alongside other HVAC equipment and control systems.
The available functions will depend on the variables and commands enabled in the integration, which allow communication to be adapted to the characteristics of each installation.
The incorporation of BACnet expands the scope of application for Airtècnics’ air curtains in projects requiring integration with automation systems based on this protocol.
This connectivity is particularly relevant in commercial, industrial and tertiary sector projects, as well as in markets such as the North American market, where BACnet has an established presence in the field of building automation. With this solution, Airtècnics continues to expand the connectivity options of its equipment to facilitate its integration into increasingly connected and automated installations.
