EC FanGrid for the AHU of an adhesive components factory

Tuesday 17 January 2023
An ECFanGrid project is a fan wall consisting of several EC motor turbines operating in parallel. ECFanGrid retrofit projects are mounted on a metal plate with all hardware to fit the internal dimensions of the AHU. This solution is intended to replace direct or DC drives, which consume a lot of energy and are costly to maintain. This solution provides energy savings of more than 50% in some applications (according to IEC 60034-30), with efficiencies higher than IE5. Our partners at Rosenberg France were successful in a project to replace a belt and pulley fan in a factory of one ...

Invisair air curtains for Exeltec, distributor of Airtècnics in France.

Tuesday 10 January 2023
Some projects require unobtrusive installations for ventilation equipment. The Invisair air curtains model from the Airtècnics catalogue fulfils this function perfectly. Invisair air curtains are part of the recessed range. They have a very special characteristic; the expulsion is made through a nozzle that leaves a reduced space for the expulsion slats. The installation we present here was carried out by the French distributor Exeltec. Together with the engineering firm Lefort Francheteau, has come up with a very special design for the historic building that houses the ...

Control and regulation in air curtains

Wednesday 07 December 2022
The control and regulation of air curtains is essential to ensure energy and cost savings. This is achieved when the performance of the devices is adapted to each circumstance. Airtècnics has developed its own regulation systems for its products: the basic control and the CLEVER advanced control. The controls are designed with a simple and quick “Plug&Play” connection by means of a telephone cable with RJ45 connectors, thus avoiding errors. In this way, the connection between the control panel and the air curtain is established reliably, and no information ...

Indoor air quality in schools

Tuesday 22 November 2022
Indoor air quality in schools has become a necessity included in the RITE regulations for buildings since 2007, accentuating its importance after the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the majority of educational centres are well before this date, so they are exempt from the obligation to have a mechanical ventilation system. However, they are obliged to have air renewal in the classrooms. And when there are no possibilities to adapt ventilation facilities, air renewal has to be provided by opening windows and doors (natural ventilation). In many cases, due to environmental and ...

Retrofit project: modernization of an AHU in a pet shop with ECFanGrid

Friday 11 November 2022
Enclosed spaces where animals live, especially in pet shops or veterinary clinics, require special mechanical ventilation conditions with frequent air renewal to ensure a healthy environment. It is essential that the air handling units are efficient and upgraded with EC FanGrid to operate at maximum performance. In this retrofit project, an AHU in an educational centre has been upgraded with a renovation EC FanGrid to cover air renewal needs of approximately 18,000 m3/h. It has been designed with the ability to reserve 25% of power to achieve a performance of 25,000 m3/h, if ...

Airtècnics offers a calculation tool for comparing heat pump and electrical heated air curtains

Tuesday 04 October 2022
Many times the effectiveness of air curtains for energy saving has been contrasted with the consequent economic savings and less CO2 emissions, but what not everyone knows is that if the air curtain we are talking about is connected to a heat pump, the energy resources needed to make it work decrease even more.  The air curtain with heat pump heating is more efficient than the electric heating air curtains. For this reason, in Airtècnics we put at your disposal a very easy to use tool so that you can know in a few steps the difference in energy consumption, emissions or ...

Retrofit project in the ventilation system of a newspaper

Wednesday 28 September 2022
Replacing centrifugal belt-driven fans with EC FanGrids (fan walls distributed in parallel) reduces energetic consumption, provides the air handling unit with a constant flow rate proportional to the number of fans used. Our partners at Rosenberg are specialists in retrofit projects. Projects in which ventilation systems are renewed are an effective method of improving efficiency, reducing energy consumption and, in the medium term, saving money. EC fans give the unit a perfect balance between electronics, motor and fan blades. Retrofit project At a major German newspaper ...
