Recessed disinfectant air curtains for two health care centres in Italy
The "Ercole Franchini" Hospital and the Vitalis Outpatient Clinic have recently been equipped with four Windbox ECM 1500 built-in air curtains with FC+OH technologies; effective against viruses and bacteria thanks to the combination of the most advanced technology in the field of disinfection and sanitisation of air and surfaces.
The Montecchio Emilia Hospital is part of the Maria Nuova Provincial Hospital, a point of reference for the population for Parma and Reggio Emilia countryside. In Montecchio Emilia, our distributor of air curtains in Italy Eurotecno achieved the important project of installing air curtains inside the Emergency Room, recently renovated and enlarged in 2017. With reference to the required inlet geometry and air volume, FC+OH air curtains with active environmental sanitisation processes were dimensioned.
Air and surface purification and disinfection
The room has a separate entrance, which includes a triage area for the initial clinical assessment of patients. Adjacent to this is an area for possible cleaning of incoming stretchers. This area forms a security area together with the "hot room", a space with automatic shutters for the entry of ambulances and any cars transporting the injured or sick.
The Vitalis health centre, for its part, belongs to the "Circuito della Salute Più", a group of more than 11 outpatient clinics accredited to the Italian National Health Service in the provinces of Bologna, Ferrara and Venice, specialising in diagnosis, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, fitness and wellness.
In Ferrara, FC+OH air curtains were installed between the entrances of the diagnostic centre in Via Ravenna, inaugurated in February 2023 in the use of the most modern MRI technologies and examinations.
Reasons to install purification air curtains
In facilities with a high flow of people, such as the Franchini Hospital or the Ferrara Health Centre, protecting the entrances by installing air curtains with sanitising technology they effectively spread hydroxyl radicals, which disinfect and decontaminate the air and surfaces.
