Fast set-up of retrofit projects with ECFanGrid

One of the most outstanding advantages of the ECFanGrid is the fast retrofitting of the air handling unit. Whether it is a new project or a retrofit project for belt driven fan replacement with EC fan wall, the installation can be completed in one or two working days.

Rosenberg Ventilatoren, partners of Airtècnics, have executed a ECFanGrid retrofit project to replace an obsolete belt driven fan. In two days, they replaced the centrifugal fan that had been working in the ventilation system for 25 years.

The existing concrete ducts were used to install a wall of EC fans in a 2x4 configuration.
EC fans in a 2x4 configuration. All eight fans are EC motor fans and the new E-wheel made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic. These fans are ideal for their optimum adaptability when high airflow at low pressure is required.

This configuration changes depending on the diameter of the fans. The diversity of the fan sizes gives the ECFanGrid system versatility, which is 100% adaptable to the required working point. 

 

 

The quick installation of the retrofit project is due to the fact that Airtècnics delivers an installation kit that includes all the necessary components to complete the commissioning in a short period of time.

So, the kit includes:

  • EC fans
  • kit with metal structure to support the fans and, at the same time, a separating wall.
  • the electrical cabinet
  • constant pressure and flow control (optional)
