Air curtains for cold stores
Large freezers and cold stores are one of the main fields for air curtains application. Airtècnics has designed special air curtains for freezers due to the huge difference between the external and internal temperatures.
The installation of air curtains provides many advantages comparing to any other system. The most important are:
- Continuous energy saving as it works always (compared with plastic strips that when are open the door is unprotected)
- It reduces snow formation and avoids the mist inside the cold stores (Triojet System)
- It avoids ice formation at the freezer entrance (Triojet System)
- Total visibility through the door (no physical barrier), improving safety and decreasing risk of accidents
- It leaves the entrance free of obstacles, saving time when moving the goods
For huge cold stores and freezers, Airtècnics manufactures a system composed by a Kool air curtain together with a Duojet air curtain that produce an air barrier with 3 jets at different speed and temperatures.
That combination increases the seal efficiency reducing the air transfer through the door entrance.
Kool air curtain is a more economical solution than the Triojet System.
It has been designed specifically for cold stores doors and freezers but it is also used to avoid dust or insects entrance.
The main differences between the Kool air curtain and standard one is higher air jet speed and its reduced dimensions (does not need heating). Besides it's prepared to be hanged directly to the wall (rear fixations).
