Renovation of an AHU in a large auditorium
Air handling unit renovation projects are becoming more and more common. It has been proven that replacing the old belt-driven fans with modern EC FanGrids saves up to 70% of the energy consumption for air conditioning in a building. In addition, ECFanGrids are also used in new projects.

For example, a major retrofit project was carried out in an auditorium for large events in southern Germany. A total of 16 new retrofit kits of various compositions, ranging from 1x1 to 5x4 EC FanGrid, have been installed. They support an airflow of 5,100 m3/h up to 88,000 m3/h.
Other advantages of the AHU renovation, apart from the energy saving due to its inherent efficiency, are its easy installation and maintenance, or the design flexibility, for example.
