Wellisair uses an Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) based on Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species (RONS), more specifically the Hydroxyl Radicals (OH-). These reagents oxidize the membranes of viruses and bacteria, producing a chain effect that accelerates the death of viruses and bacteria. Additionally, once the membrane has been penetrated, it oxidizes the genetic information of these microorganisms, which inactivates them.
It should also be mentioned that there are only three bacteria that have an antioxidant system, although it's not sufficiently powerful to fight against the Wellisair advanced oxidation effect. Therefore, these bacteria will also be neutralised (for example, see the reports on the virus: 20200228, 20191212_3 or on bacteria: EM20150002, 027128)
