Today we’re sharing details of the refurbishment of two air handling units for a dairy and fresh produce manufacturing plant in the agri-food sector, carried out by our partners at Rosenberg France.
The company had two objectives with this refurbishment of the units:
The agri-food industry cannot afford failures in ventilation systems that could disrupt production. Redundancy in the AHUs guarantees a level of peace of mind that traditional mechanically driven fans do not provide.

In this project, the belt-driven fan was replaced by a configuration of six aluminium motorised turbines (AIMg3) with a diameter of 500 mm, providing airflows of over 50,000 m³/h.
Airtècnics supplies the complete retrofit kit, so that the end customer does not have to worry about anything during the process, and delivers a ‘turnkey’ installation, which includes:

The project has resulted in an actual reduction of over 30% in electricity consumption, with an equivalent operating point in each AHU.
As a result, a retrofit project causes minimal disruption to the customer. Your unit is taken offline for just a few hours, with all work carried out by our engineers and installers from start to finish.
