Airtècnics commitment to the planet on Mother Earth Day 2023
In Airtècnics the climate crisis is taken very seriously and the commitment to take care of the planet Earth is conceived as an important brand plan to define actions of our competence for the conservation of the environment.
Aware of the importance of leaving a better planet than the one we found for future generations, the Airtècnics product range works on improving air quality, energy saving and efficiency.
The air curtains are the emblematic product of the house, a system that allows an air conditioning saving of up to 80% by creating an invisible barrier that separates two environments, avoiding the air flow to be exchanged.
Air quality is a priority and we have air and surface disinfection and purification products with a range of air purifiers without filters for private use, the version for public spaces and a device for cattle farming use.
Airtècnics products follow the European Regulation ErP, which requires minimum energy efficiency requirements for motors and fans. These measures are intended to comply with international protocols governing the reduction of CO₂ emissions.
Environmental friendly actions
Since it was founded 37 years ago, the awareness with saving and the environment has been a determining factor in the making and production of Airtècnics. Thus, since 2022 we have more than 800 square meters of solar panels on the roofs of two of the production halls. Their annual energy production values are about 147 kWh, which allows us to reduce around 53 tons of CO₂ emissions to the atmosphere.
In 2021, Airtècnics obtained the "green company" certificate from the electrical energy consultant and distributor Indexo Energía because the origin of the energy is 100% renewable or high efficiency energy.
The minimization of waste in its activity, as well as the separation of these (paper, cardboard, plastic and metals of all kinds...) for its later recycling, are a discipline among all the human value of the company. The use of paper has been reduced thanks to the digitalisation of a multitude of technical and commercial documentation; and the paper used in the offices is of recycled origin.
