New 0–10 V potentiometer by Airtècnics improves control

Monday 16 February 2026

Airtècnics expands its 0-10 V analogue control solution with an enhanced version of the PM-6 potentiometer, designed to provide greater operability, monitoring and safety in installations with EC fans and HVAC equipment.

The new version incorporates three key improvements: an integrated ON/OFF button, alarm signalling via LED, and minimum fan start voltage adjustment. A set of features that transforms a simple manual control into a more complete management tool adapted to current installation requirements.

 Potentiometer 0-10V PM-6

0-10 V control with independent switching

The new ON/OFF button allows the user to maintain a preset working setpoint on the main dial while switching the equipment on or off without modifying the selected adjustment.

This function provides operational flexibility in installations where temporary system shutdown is required without losing the predefined configuration.

Minimum start voltage: technical performance control

One of the main new features is the incorporation of an internal minimum fan start voltage adjustment. Using an auxiliary potentiometer accessible with a screwdriver, the installer can define the voltage level at which the signal effectively begins to be transmitted to the fan.

  • Clockwise rotation → increases the minimum voltage.
  • Counterclockwise rotation → reduces the minimum voltage.

This means that if the setpoint selected on the main dial is below the configured minimum, the output will remain at 0 V, even if the unit is switched on.

Practical example:
If the installation requires a minimum pressure of 150 Pa to overcome duct losses and the fan at 25% does not reach that value, a minimum start level of 30% can be configured. This ensures the system never operates below the required performance threshold.

This adjustment guarantees stable operation, avoids inefficient working zones and ensures compliance with project technical requirements.

Integrated alarm signalling

The PM-6 allows connection of an alarm signal from the fan or associated equipment. If any fault occurs, the front alarm LED will automatically light up.

This improvement enables system monitoring without additional machining or external solutions. The user can immediately identify the system status directly from the control unit.

Benefits for installers and end users

  • Greater operational control without complex management systems.
  • Independent switching while maintaining the setpoint.
  • Protection against operation below minimum performance levels.
  • Visual alarm monitoring without additional modifications.
  • Full compatibility with EC fans and standard 0-10 V inputs.

With this enhancement, Airtècnics strengthens its commitment to technical solutions focused on efficiency, reliability and ease of integration in ventilation and air conditioning projects.
