Twin function for air curtain Dam

Tuesday 25 May 2021

Dam air curtain is part of the standard range of Airtècnics' air curtains. One of the applications that make the Dam air curtain unique and very special is the application of the Twin system in the installation. Dam Twin system consists of installing two Dam air curtains, facing each other vertically with the jets reversed, i.e. the suction grille of one in front of the jet of the other. This creates a double air barrier with a separation zone at the door. One of the jets, the one closest to the door opening, comes out five degrees cooler than the second.

This room separation system is an Airtècnics creation destined for entrances where conditions are extreme and the efficient operation of an air curtain working alone can be affected.

Adverse situations may include:

  • Strong draughts
  • Several doors
  • Stack effect
  • Building subject to pressure differences
  • Exhaust systems close to the door

This air curtain model stands out for its high capacity of adaptation to almost any installation, moreover, it is innovative thanks to the design of the front part. The suction grille is replaced by a front panel that can be customised according to the customer's taste: logos, graphics, signage... Any customisation of the catalogue as well as the wide range of chart RAL colours.

The suction is divided between the upper and lower parts of the curtain. This solution to the elimination of the front grille provides a hygienic solution as it does not require any maintenance to clean the grille. In addition, its decorative front panel makes it a curtain with clean and modern lines.

Ideal places of application are:

  • Shopping centres with stairs in front of the door
  • Car park access doors with extraction system
  • Buildings with more than one floor
  • Restaurants with kitchen exhaust near the door
  • Windy areas
  • Places with large temperature contrasts
