Dam Twin system air curtains in Univerity Hospital of Navarra
Dam Twin is an application of the air curtains model Dam, from Airtècnics standard range. It is a double air barrier system that allows a greater efficiency in the separation of environments and it is highly recommended for installations in complex or critical conditions.
The installation of two Dam air curtains one in front of the other vertically on each side of the door, is completed in a special and unique way developed by Airtècnics: the suction of one of the air curtains is in front of the jet of the other one. The jet that is closer to the door is five degrees colder than the second one. This creates a double air barrier that reinforces the protection of the door.
Due to the draughty conditions at the Clínica Universitaria of Navarra, this system of climate separation was chosen and it has proved to be very effective, as the inconveniences that used to occur have ceased. In order to maintain the aesthetics of the hospital and maintain the image of hygiene and purity, the colour white was picked.
Air curtains for very adverse situations
The Dam Twin system is therefore effective in adverse situations such as draughts, establishments with several doors, staircases causing a chimney effect, buildings subject to pressure differences or air extraction systems close to the door.
The Dam air curtain model is very adaptable to almost any installation, although its use is mainly commercial. The design of the front is very innovative. The suction grille is replaced by a panel that can be customized with logos, graphics or signage, as well as any finish from the RAL chart available in the catalogue.
The intake is divided between the upper and lower part of the air curtain. The elimination of the front grille provides a hygienic solution that minimizes the cleaning maintenance of the grille. Its decorative front panel makes it an air curtain with clean, modern lines.
